The general sensationPavlova is a bold and innovative fragrance, inspired by the lightness and delicacy of the famous dessert of the same name. This creation celebrates sweetness and freshness, evoking the grace of a dance between sweet and tart flavours. Pavlova's theatrical opening invites discovery with a tangy gourmet note, a sparkling effervescence of pineapple, passion fruit and coconut, creating a feeling of self-assured exoticism. There's also a hint of raspberry, whose rich, fruity nuances add surprising depth. This red berry, both sweet and slightly bitter, adds a fascinating complexity, balancing the lightness of other fruity notes such as peach. Pavlova is enhanced by a combination of woody notes, with cedar and sandalwood providing a reassuring contrast to the light, fruity notes. Vanilla and musk intertwine harmoniously to sign this original composition, reminiscent of the melting, airy meringue of Pavlova. |
The spirit of the fragranceThe Pavlova bottle is as elegant as the fragrance it contains. THE NICOLAÏ PERFUMERY BRAND |
A direct descendant of Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, founder of the house of Guerlain, which was bought by a luxury group in 1994, Patricia de Nicolaï and her husband Jean-Louis Michau created their own perfume brand. Precisely in November 1989, Patricia Nicolaï, one of the first female nose-creators, launched her own business. Her first boutique opened in Paris, the birthplace of perfumes and fine fragrances. These are entirely created by Patricia de Nicolaï, in a laboratory visible to visitors to the boutique. It was Patricia's wish to show what goes on behind the scenes, how luxury is created and brought to life. Her love of the profession dates back to the '81s, when she graduated from ISIPCA in Versailles (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum de la Cosmétique et de l'Aromatique Alimentaire). She was also elected President of OSMOTHEQUE, the International Perfume Museum and Conservatory located in Versailles, on the campus of the famous ISIPCA perfume school. Among her very first fragrances was New-York, the designer's signature scent, considered one of the best olfactory creations in history. In 2007, she was elevated by the French President to the rank of Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur as the woman perfumer who created her own perfume house. In June 2015 Patricia received the OLFACTORAMA ENTHOUSIASME" award for her fragrance New York Intense, the eau de parfum version. In 1997 Patricia NICOLAÏ released her first Eau fraîche "Eau d'été", a fresh floral fragrance for men and women. Alongside the perfume collection, Patricia was one of the first to create high quality olfactory background fragrances. Candles, sprays and scented bamboo, including Maharadjah, the brand's iconic home fragrance. To celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary, Nicolaï creates a new fragrance, Baïkal Leather Intense. The brand's emblematic fragrances are Patchouli Intense and Fig Tea for perfumes and Maharadjah for home backgrounds. Let yourself be seduced by these three unique fragrances. THE LUXURY: All fragrances are hand-sealed with a black wax that forms a beautiful imprint with the initials PN (Patricia de Nicolaï). They also have a pretty ribbon delicately tied around the box. Each perfume comes in its own black velvet case.
