The fragrance's atmosphere

"Patchouli was a natural choice to embody the notion of the earth. We decided to build our creation around a particular spirit of patchouli, from Indonesia. This variety is distinguished by facets that are smoother and less camphoraceous than others, and we harmonised it with davana leaf to give it a fruity, luscious note." A word from the Perfumer.

Here is the olfactory description of Terre Initiale by Jardin de France

First scents : The opening of Terre Initiale is lively and stimulating, with Pink Berry bringing a spicy aspect and Mandarin offering a lemony freshness. This combination creates a dynamic and energising entrance.

Heart notes: At the heart of the composition, Davana Flower offers a distinctive floral note, perhaps sweet and fruity, while Mugwort can add a herbaceous and aromatic nuance, contributing to the olfactory complexity.

Base notes: The base notes of Terre Initiale reveal increased depth and richness. Virginia Cedar offers a woody base, probably resinous and warm. Frankincense adds a mystical touch and Patchouli, with its earthy character, completes the structure of the fragrance.

General sensation

Overall, Terre Initiale is a balanced fragrance, combining spicy, floral and woody elements to create a harmonious and sophisticated olfactory experience. This rare fragrance reveals all the richness and warmth of patchouli, highlighting a warm, earthy woody facet. The olfactory experience evokes a rich, textured, living earth warmed by the sun, expressing all its power.
