The fragrance's story and background 

Created in 1961 by perfumer Guy Robert, Calèche is the very first Hermès fragrance for women. Its name evokes the House's emblematic carriage: the 19th-century horse-drawn carriage, a symbol of elegance and lightness. The bottle, inspired by the lanterns of old carriages, is topped by a black cap reminiscent of the horseman's bomb. As a member of the Parfums-Fondateurs collection, the bottle bears a label illustrated with a drawing by Philippe Dumas, symbolizing its belonging to the Hermès tradition.
