The origins of the Dr. Hauschka brand date back to the 1960s.
Two enthusiasts of cosmetology and Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Rudolf Hauschka and Elisabeth Sigmund, were creating natural cosmetics for everyday use. Shortly afterwards, the brand was born with the philosophy of anthroposophy: the skin possesses its own powers of nutrition and regeneration, so the role of cosmetics is to support and stimulate it in its natural self-healing functions. Research began in 1962, and 5 years later a range of cosmetics was launched, adding to the pharmaceutical range launched 30 years earlier.
