The fragrance's background 

Madame Rochas embodies the olfactory spirit of Hélène Rochas and a generation of independent women, masters of their own destiny. The slender, octagonal bottle is inspired by 18th-century salt flasks. It is crowned by an elegant golden cap and adorned with an immaculate label on which Hélène would have inscribed the name herself.

"I wanted to offer a little of myself, the independent image of the woman I had become," confides Hélène Rochas when she conceived her eponymous fragrance.
