The fragrance's story and backgroundCreated in 1998 by perfumer Gilles Romey, the Rocabar fragrance draws its inspiration from the equestrian world. Its name, derived from "rug" and "à barres", refers to the traditional saffron wool horse blanket with red and blue stripes, made in Hermès workshops. The bottle, inspired by the lanterns of the carriages of yesteryear, is topped with a black cap, reminiscent of the horseman's bomb, and bears the emblematic label illustrated by Philippe Dumas, a sign of belonging to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection. Here is the olfactory description of Rocabar d'Hermès Top notes: The fragrance opens with fresh, spicy notes of bergamot, lemon and vetiver. These top notes bring a lively, invigorating freshness, heralding an olfactory journey full of vitality. Heart notes: The heart notes reveal a harmonious blend of cedar, sage and pepper. These notes add a woody, spicy depth to the fragrance, evoking the image of a dense, mysterious forest. Base notes: The base of the fragrance is made up of pine resin, vanilla and Peruvian balsam. These base notes add sensual warmth and enveloping character to the composition, creating a long-lasting, seductive trail. |
